InfraSound Presents: “CHAINS”

Featuring world premieres by Anthony R. Green, and Tyler Neidermayer, with additional premiere arrangements by Yoshi Weinberg of works by Frederic Rzewski and Gabrielle Cerberville, and pieces by Max Vinetz and Yaz Lancaster.

“Chains” immerses the audience into an exciting world of experimental music. With music videos produced by Vasily Ratmansky, Tyler Neidermayer, and Yoshi Weinberg, we present this concert as a reflection of our current state as a society. Through these works we hope to comment and meditate on the issues many of us face today, including deforestation and global warming, the negative impact of Capitalism on workers, the effects of mental health on a person’s psyche, and the role nature plays in the creation of art. A quote that feels particularly poignant to us comes from Assata Shakur’s autobiography and reads:

“It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.”
